Description

Maxxis Fat/Plus 26" Inner Tube (26x3.0-5.0, 48mm Presta)

This professional-quality Maxxis inner tube is specifically designed for the demanding needs of fatbikes and plus-sized mountain bikes. When riding on wide 26-inch tires in challenging terrain, you need an inner tube that can withstand impacts, roots, and rocks with exceptional reliability.
Durable Materials and Precise Dimensions
  • Size: 26 x 3.0/5.0 (ETRTO 76/127-559). Perfect compatibility with extra-wide Fat and Plus category mountain bike tires.
  • Wall Thickness: 1.0 mm thick walls offer significantly better protection against sharp punctures, chafing, and wear compared to standard models.
  • Valve: The high-quality 48 mm long Presta valve is ideal for modern, deeper rims, ensuring effortless and precise pressure adjustment.
Removable Valve Core for Added Protection
The most notable special feature of this product is its removable valve core. This design allows for the easy addition of liquid sealant directly inside the tube to help prevent flats during your ride. The valve core is removed by turning it counterclockwise using a valve core removal tool or carefully with a small pair of pliers. After adding your preferred sealant, reinstall the core by threading it clockwise – remember to avoid over-tightening, as this can damage the delicate valve mechanism.
Installation and Safety Guidelines
To ensure the best possible durability and a safe riding experience, Maxxis recommends following specific guidelines during installation. Always double-check that the tube is the correct size for your tire and wheel. Tire mounting should be performed entirely by hand to prevent tire levers from accidentally puncturing the rubber. Inflation should be carried out using a hand pump only – using an air compressor can cause pressure to rise too quickly. Never exceed the maximum inflation pressure indicated on the sidewall of the tire, as improper inflation can lead to a blowout, potentially damaging the tube, tire, rim, and equipment, and endangering the rider. The manufacturer also highly recommends wearing eye protection whenever servicing tires.
