Description

The Kari Traa Saga Hood is a women's merino wool base layer designed to combine natural wool warmth, flexible movement and distinctive Scandinavian-inspired style. Its close-fitting construction is designed to move with your body while providing comfortable insulation. Made from 90% wool and 10% elastane, the four-way stretch fabric allows unrestricted movement and follows the body's natural motion without feeling restrictive. Wool fibres provide natural insulation whether wet or dry, helping retain warmth in changing conditions. Merino wool is particularly well suited to base layers because of its combination of warmth, comfort and natural performance. Strategically placed mesh ventilation provides additional airflow in areas where ventilation is needed. This helps balance warmth and breathability during active movement. The fixed hood provides additional insulation and protection from the cold. It is designed to fit underneath a helmet or hat, helping retain warmth while keeping cold elements out. Thumb holes provide extra comfort around the hands and wrists while helping keep the sleeves securely in place. Raglan sleeves further support freedom of movement and complement the slim, athletic fit. A discreet Scandinavian-inspired knit pattern adds a distinctive Nordic character to the design, making the Saga Hood more than just a functional base layer. The merino wool is IWTO-certified, traceable and non-mulesing, providing greater transparency around the wool fibre and its origin.
