The leather parts require gentle care. Leather gloves should not be washed more often than necessary.
Cleaning and Caring for the Leather
Remove stains using a damp cloth and high-fat soap.
Do not machine wash leather gloves.
Dry the gloves in an upright position.
Remove the liner for drying and separate cleaning. Follow the liner’s own care instructions.
Once the gloves are completely dry, apply Hestra Leather Balm.
According to the manufacturer, Hestra Leather Balm is suitable for sports gloves made from goatskin and cowhide nappa.
The Hestra Army Leather Heli Ski - 5 finger was originally developed for ski guides working in western Canada who needed warm and reliable gloves for long days in snow and cold conditions. It is particularly suitable for skiers and outdoor enthusiasts who spend extended periods outside, often far from the comforts of a ski resort.
The palm is made from durable goat leather, providing good grip and feel. The backhand features three-layer Hestra Triton polyamide fabric, which is windproof, water-resistant and breathable. Please note that the manufacturer does not classify the entire glove as waterproof.
The removable liner is a practical feature for long days outdoors. It can be removed for drying or replacement and allows the glove to be adapted to different activity levels and temperatures.
The long cuff features a snow lock which, together with the Velcro wrist strap, helps keep snow out of the glove. The elasticated wrist completes the construction.
The included Handcuff wrist strap helps prevent the glove from being dropped when removed, for example when answering the phone or adjusting equipment.
A hanging loop on the little finger and the included 50 mm carabiner allow the glove to be attached to ski trousers or a climbing harness with the opening facing downwards. This is particularly useful when working with thinner liners on your hands.
The Eagle Grip construction is designed to support the natural position of the hand.
